Newborn skin is 30% more permeable than adult skin. Most baby skin products contain mineral oil, synthetic fragrance, and preservatives absorbed at significantly higher rates. This newborn salve has three certified organic ingredients with zero fragrance. The simplest, safest formula possible.
✦ Ingredient Spotlight: Calendula
Calendula officinalis contains flavonoids and triterpenoids with documented anti-inflammatory activity. A clinical study found slow-infused calendula oil comparable to hydrocortisone cream for inflammatory skin conditions — without the risk of skin atrophy from prolonged steroid use.
